Sandra M. Christensen, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC, FOMA
Sandra Christensen is a board-certified nurse practitioner and has specialized in obesity treatment since 2005. She owns Integrative Medical Weight Management, in Seattle, Washington. She holds the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). Ms. Christensen is a fellow of OMA and was named the 2022 Clinician of the Year by OMA. She serves as a trustee for OMA and the Washington Obesity Society. 

Ms. Christensen speaks on the topic of obesity at international, national, state, and local conferences and webinars and is involved in projects and initiatives that educate clinicians about obesity treatment and advocate for access to care. She is an Associate Editor of Obesity Pillars, a co-author of several OMA Clinical Practice Statements, and a contributing author of the OMA Obesity Algorithm. She is the author of “A Clinician’s Guide to Discussing Obesity with Patients” published by Springer. 

Ms. Christensen has dedicated herself to educating others about the complexities of obesity. Through clinical practice, speaking, writing, mentoring, and advocacy, she empowers clinicians to address obesity with knowledge and compassion.
Angela Golden, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP
Dr. Angela Golden is a current fellow and past president of AANP. She completed her DNP at Arizona State University and has been an NP for over 20 years. She owns NP Obesity Treatment Clinic in Flagstaff, AZ. She earned OMAs NP/PA Certificate of Advanced Clinical Education and the Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Education, an internationally recognized certification. She also is certified as a life coach and in Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Dr. Golden has recently authored a book, Treating Obesity in Primary Care, and written peer reviewed articles, participated in research, consulted in creating patient education materials, and been interviewed by lay media on obesity treatment. She presents nationally and internationally with an emphasis on obesity, health policy, leadership and clinical care.
Sharon Fruh, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Sharon serves as the Associate Dean for Research, Evaluation, and Faculty Development at the University of South Alabama College of Nursing. Her area of focus is obesity stigma/bias and obesity prevention. Sharon has mentored DNP students from across the country on improving outcomes for individuals with obesity and is also involved in translational research. Sharon serves as co-lead for the University of South Alabama Consortium through the University of Alabama at Birmingham Center for Clinical and Translational Science, through the National Institutes of Health.
Joy Pape, MSN, RN, FNP-C, CDCES (CDE), CFCN, FADCES
Joy Pape, FNP-C, CDCES, CFCN, is an obesity specialist, certified diabetes care and education specialist, and certified foot care nurse at Weill Cornell's Comprehensive Weight Control Center, NY, NY. Joy is the President and owner of EnJOY Life Health Consulting, LLC. Joy has been providing obesity, weight management and diabetes care and education in most all health care settings including telehealth for over 20 years. She is past co-chair of AANP’s Obesity Specialty Practice Group.
Karli Burridge, PA-C, MMS, FOMA
Karli Burridge is a Board-certified PA and a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association. She is the co-founder and Immediate-past-President of PAs in Obesity Medicine and serves on the Board for the Illinois Obesity Society Board and Obesity Medicine Association. Karli is the Founder of Gaining Health, which offers resources, education, and support to clinicians who want to incorporate evidence-based obesity care in their clinical practice. Karli is an obesity specialist at Ascension Medical Weight Loss Solutions in Westmont, Illinois. She holds the Certificate of Advanced Education in obesity management and has received several awards for her work in obesity medicine, including awards from the Obesity Medicine Association, as well as being voted one of America’s Top PAs in 2023. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Medical Science at A.T. Still University. Karli has authored numerous publications and Clinical Practice Statements on obesity care, including ones on Body Composition, Nutrition and Physical Activity, as well as on highly effective anti-obesity medications.
Christina Funk, DNP, FNP-C, APNP
Dr. Christina M. Funk is a certified (AANP) Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree earned from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has specialized in the field of Obesity Medicine since 2015. She is the Director of Obesity Medicine in an independent cash pay clinic in Eau Claire, WI. She is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association and AANP and has served as an Obesity content expert for various initiatives within the field of Obesity. Christina and her husband have four children and enjoy traveling.
