Marti Silvidi, DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC
Marti Silvidi, DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-BC works predominantly at an FQHC in primary care. My interest in concussions/mTBI started at my son’s soccer banquet many years ago when a girl’s coach laughed off concussions that occurred with four different players. It was clear he really bought into: “they are only dings to the head”. In response, I have worked at developing training for high school coaches as well as provided education for school nurses. Youth/club sports continue to have a higher return to play following mTBI than older athletes and am learning more about intimate partner violence. Both areas provide opportunities to increase knowledge to health care providers and the public.
