Integrating AHRQ Evidence-Based Resources into Course Curricula
Expires: June 30, 2016.
- CE FOR THIS ACTIVITY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER THIS DATE.
The purpose of this activity is to familiarize advanced practice nurse educators with AHRQ evidence-based resources, such as the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) evidence-based recommendations for preventive health, particularly the Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) tool, and to illustrate how these and Effective Health Care (EHC) Program resources can be incorporated into the educational process.
After completion of this activity participants will be better able to:
List the evidence-based resources available on the AHRQ Web site, including those available through the Effective Health Care (EHC) Program.
Locate the resources available on the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) Web site, including the Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS) tool.
Demonstrate how to download the ePSS application to a PDA or mobile device.
Explain how the EHC Program resources, the USPSTF recommendations, and the ePSS tool can be integrated into the educational processes for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).
