Overview Every 34 seconds, someone in the U.S. has an acute coronary event, almost 2 people every minute. This activity is designed for NPs practicing in emergency care settings who may encounter a patient presenting with chest pain or concerns for a cardiac event. Michael D. Gooch, DNP, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC, ENP-C will lead you through the risk factors, available clinical decision tools which can help guide clinical decision making and risk stratification and formulating a plan of care for the patient with a suspected acute coronary syndrome.CE Credit Instructions
