Overview As a nurse practitioner, patients presenting with hypertension and cardiovascular disease will be a common occurrence that you will need to be prepared to diagnose, monitor, and treat. This case-based continuing education module is geared toward the NP student or career starter, but is also a beneficial refresher for the seasoned NP in practice. This activity features Dr. Margaret Fitzgerald, a Family Nurse Practitioner with vast expertise in NP certification preparation and continuing education. Dr. Fitzgerald's presentation will provide evidence-based education with the latest guidelines in cardiovascular disease care and sage advice when titrating medication doses as you follow William, a 34-year-old male with uncontrolled hypertension and multiple CVD risk factors.
