Original Webinar Date and Time: 12/10/2025 from 12:00-1:00 PM CT Overview This webinar explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming diabetes care through innovations in wearables, smart nutrition, predictive modeling, and decision support systems. Expert speakers will examine clinical evidence for AI-enabled tools across the continuum of diabetes prevention, from risk prediction and early detection to personalized disease management. Participants will learn how AI can enhance patient outcomes, improve clinical efficiency, and support population health while maintaining the human connection at the heart of care.
Objectives- Describe how AI-enabled technologies are transforming healthcare including wearable activity/glucose sensors, image-based meal tracking, and smart nutrition recommendation engines.
- Evaluate evidence from clinical trials and pilot studies of AI applications in diabetes prevention, early detection, and management.
- Explain how AI-assisted tools (e.g. predictive risk models, decision support systems) may guide or optimize pharmacologic intervention including insulin titration tools.
- Discuss how the role of the clinical team will evolve and steps to take to be prepared to lead in shaping the future of healthcare.
Speakers Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BCAP, CDCES, BC-ADM, FADCES, FCCP Janice MacLeod, MA, RDN, CDCES, FADCES
