Overview This session will review the latest clinical updates in infectious diseases relevant for advanced practice clinicians. Topics will include the most relevant information on the diagnosis, management and prevention of emerging and re-emerging infections such as mpox, COVID, HIV, RSV and more.
Objectives
- Review the latest information on the epidemiology and diagnosis of key emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases seen in primary care.
- Discuss pharmacologic updates in the treatment of key infectious diseases.
- Describe the role of the primary care NP in management of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
