    Overview
The United Nations Foundation Shot@Life campaign aims to ensure that children around the world have access to lifesaving vaccines. Through public education, grassroots advocacy, and fundraising, we strive to decrease vaccine-preventable childhood deaths and give every child a shot at a healthy life no matter where they live. Advocates from all 50 states are rallying together to encourage their elected officials to fund investments in global vaccine programs in the U.S. budget and raise awareness around the importance of ensuring people everywhere have access to vaccines for diseases like polio, measles, pneumonia, rotavirus, and COVID-19. Even if you’ve never done advocacy before, this session will help you learn how to use your voice effectively and efficiently during the most critical times of the year.

    Objectives
    • Describe the current state of child global vaccination coverage and challenges.
    • Identify key findings from global health organizations and agencies.
    • Discuss the key role all NPs play in securing funding and access for immunization programs.
    • Outline the leadership responsibilities of all NPs in being stewards for childhood global vaccination programs within their communities.
