Overview May is Mental Health Awareness Month, offering nurse practitioners an opportunity to reflect on the role mental health plays in everyday clinical care. This session focuses on increasing mental health awareness across practice settings, addressing stigma, and recognizing common mental health concerns encountered in routine NP practice. Participants will explore practical ways to support mental health awareness through effective communication, appropriate screening considerations, and referral pathways while remaining within scope and specialty boundaries.
