Overview Palliative Medicine focuses on improving the quality of life for patients by reducing the suffering from physical symptoms, addressing the stress of serious illness, and providing this care at any stage of the disease process. Join Brett Snodgrass, DNP, FNP-C, ACHPN, FAANP, as she explains the differences in palliative medicine vs hospice and understanding the importance of advance care planning and the options for patients both inpatient and outpatient. Dr. Snodgrass provides valuable insight into the best ways to begin advance care planning to ensure the most success for patients.

- Explain what Palliative Medicine is, the difference in Palliative Medicine vs Hospice, and the role in PC.
- Understand advance care planning and options for patients both inpatient and outpatient.
- Utilizing the 5 Wishes Form, explain what is included in an Advance Care Plan.
