Basic concepts such as the physiology and signs and symptoms of menopause will be briefly explained. This presentation will have a special emphasis on vasomotor symptoms among the various signs and symptoms of menopause. The assessment and plan of care for vasomotor symptoms will be discussed in detail. The pharmacological management of VMS will be examined, concentrating on the use of hormone therapy and possible contraindications for its use. The presentation will also briefly touch base on the latest developments in the treatment of VMS. Objectives
