Overview
Evidence-based, patient-centered contraception management has long been a mainstay of many nurse practitioners' roles. This presentation will review important pharmacological underpinnings of contraception for nurse practitioners who manage patients during the reproductive life span. Historical aspects of contraceptive management along with updates regarding the current contraceptive landscape will be reviewed. We will also discuss approaches to help patients make informed decisions on choosing the best method that fits with their diverse needs.
