Overview Evaluation and management of both classic and atypical presentations of GERD including clinical cases, use of endoscopy, advanced pH testing, pharmacologic therapy and when to refer to GI.
Objectives
Determine the appropriate workup for classic GERD.
Determine the appropriate workup and management for atypical GERD.
Understand appropriate administration and side effects of PPIs for treatment of classic GERD.
Define the risks of untreated / chronic GERD.
Determine appropriate first line treatment for classic GERD.
