Overview: Heart failure, a cardiovascular condition that affects many adults worldwide, is a complex clinical syndrome. Despite the remarkable growth in therapeutic options over the past two decades, this condition continues to be associated with high mortality and morbidity. But NPs can make a difference in helping reduce both by ensuring patients are offered the latest treatment. In this episode, Drs. Bowers and Davis discuss the four pharmacologic pillars to treating HFrEF to improve morbidity, reduce mortality and improve quality of life. This activity is an Accredited AANP Podcast Activity. Learners will need to listen to the podcast through their preferred podcast provider (Search for "NP Pulse" and listen to Episode # 106). A participation code will be given at the END of the podcast - make sure to write this code down. Once you've listened to the podcast and have the participation code, return to this activity in the CE Center. Click on the "Next Steps" button of the activity and (1) enter the participation code that was provided, (2) complete the post-test, and (3) complete the activity evaluation. This will award your CE credit and certificate of completion.
