Overview
This presentation will review the epidemiology, natural history, clinical presentation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of syphilis.
Objectives
- Summarize current trends in syphilis epidemiology.
- Differentiate and interpret screening algorithms.
- Identify appropriate pharmacotherapeutic treatment strategies for syphilis management.
- Describe safety concerns related to IM penicillin and appropriate administration.
- Navigate key challenges and trends in syphilis today.
