Delivery Note:  This content was originally developed and released in January 2022 under activity ID #21115284. The content was reviewed in January 2024 and minor updates have been made. Updates reflecting the current incidence of human trafficking have been updated on slides 6, 7 and references added to slides 29 and 30, however the substance of this CE activity has not changed significantly. Those who completed the program published in 2022, ID#21115284, should NOT select this activity for CE credit. Duplicate credit for the same content will not be accepted by some regulatory bodies.

    Overview
Up to 88% of persons exploited by trafficking are seen by a health care provider without being identified and thus, remained without assistance. This compelling course will challenge learners to apply a patient-centered, trauma-informed, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical approach as they interact  with patients who may be exploited in the human trafficking trade. This activity is AANP-accredited for 2.0 contact hours of continuing education (CE) credit.
