Overview
This session uses a case-based approach to provide a comprehensive look at cardiovascular issues in children. Topics that will be covered include congenital heart disease, transplantation, cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, heart failure and dysrhythmias. Innovations in the management of congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy and the latest developments in cardiac device therapy.

Objectives

Identify Common Congenital Heart Lesions and their Treatment.
Discuss pediatric cardiomyopathy and heart failure, including cardiac transplantation.
Describe the latest innovations in pediatric cardiac care, including surgical approaches, transcatheter interventions and device therapies.
Discuss the latest medication therapy in Cardiology to allow participants the ability to prescribe and monitor patients on pharmacotherapy and the clinical application of drugs.
