Overview This presentation will review the typical and atypical dermatological manifestations of sexually transmitted infections. The variations in skin of color will be highlighted. The attendees should come away with a better understanding of the necessary physical assessment skills and knowledge of variations in appearance of sexually transmitted infection-associated skin conditions.
Objectives
Identify common and some less common dermatologic manifestations observed in sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Discuss variations in appearance of STI associated skin lesions seen in skin of color.
Explain the importance of recognizing the differences in STI associated dermatologic presentations in skin of color.
