Overview This presentation review what to do when a patient is newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and what providers should prioritize in terms of patient care, medication, diagnostic testing, and risk reduction strategies.
Objectives
Providers will have increased comfort with diagnosis and management of type 2 diabetes.
Providers will understand common complications that arise from type 2 diabetes and have increased comfort with identifying and treating these complications.
Providers will have increased understanding of weight loss medication management.
