Overview: Nurse practitioners in a wide variety of setting are key to identification and treatment of numerous conditions affecting women of all ages. As guidelines change, and occasionally seem to conflict, NPs must be able to individualize screening, testing and treatment using the most current recommendations and a shared decision-making approach. In this second of a two-part series, Prioritizing Women’s Health: Testing and Treatment Updates for NPs, women’s health faculty experts Kahlil Demonbreun, Lisa Chism and Nancy Berman will discuss key updates in women’s health-related testing guidelines. Today’s podcast is intended as a broad overview of the most recent changes. This activity is an Accredited AANP Podcast Activity. Learners will need to listen to the podcast through their preferred podcast provider (Search for "NP Pulse" and listen to Episode 115).
