Overview This presentation will detail the epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and management of TB infection.
Objectives
- Evaluate the clinical picture that differentiates latent, subclinical and active TB disease.
- Develop a prevention strategy for the clinical management of latent TB infection.
- Detail the diagnostic approach for a person presenting with TB as part of your differential diagnosis.
- Identify the appropriate infection control procedures for primary care for a person with TB in your differential diagnosis.
- Detail the antimicrobial treatment strategy for a person with active TB.
