Overview:
In this podcast episode, Dr. Leslie Davis and Maria Bonanni explore how renal denervation (RDN) reduces hypertension, and discuss clinical trials, patient selection, and recent regulatory approvals. They also highlight the NP’s role in screening and educating patients about RDN through shared decision-making.
This activity is an Accredited AANP Podcast Activity.
Learners will need to listen to the podcast through their preferred podcast provider (Search for "NP Pulse" and listen to Episode 126). A participation code will be given at the END of the podcast - make sure to write this code down. Once you've listened to the podcast and have the participation code, return to this activity in the CE Center. Objectives- Examine the mechanism by which renal denervation (RDN) exerts an anti-hypertensive effect.
- Summarize the evidentiary base in support of RDN as a therapeutic approach to hypertension management, including recent regulatory approvals.
- Discuss standard of care pathways for the safe, effective implementation of RDN for hypertension management, with a focus on the role of the nurse practitioner on the multidisciplinary team.

- Listen to all of Episode 126. A participation code will be provided at the end. Make sure to write this code down! You will need this code to unlock access the the post-test and evaluation to complete the activity to earn your CE credit. The code will consist of a LETTERS and NUMBERS. When entering the code in the Participation Code field, make sure you enter the letters and numbers together (no space between them). Letters are not case sensitive.
