Overview Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a leading cause of death for women worldwide. As dyslipidemia is a significant risk factor for ASCVD development, evidence-based dyslipidemia is paramount to holistic health and wellness for women across a variety of settings and age ranges. Managing pharmacotherapy of dyslipidemia for women often involves multiple nuances given the unique needs across the lifespan including pregnancy, breastfeeding, and the menopausal transition. Therefore, this presentation will review evidence-based strategies and patient-centered approaches to dyslipidemia pharmacotherapy as it relates to the unique needs of women across the lifespan. Objectives

Discuss how dyslipidemia pharmacotherapy relates to ASCVD prevention.
Discuss primary and secondary prevention of ASCVD.
