Overview Building collaborative relationships for cancer care can enhance supportive services for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Comprehensive cancer centers have implemented cancer survivorship programs within their organizations but partnering with higher-educational institutions, regional and community organizations can add a more patient-centered holistic approach. This presentation offers some ideas with examples on how to create and strengthen cancer survivorship care within your communities.
Objectives
- Discuss the benefits of AANP Communities and Specialty Practice Groups.
- Identify how building collaborative relationships can influence health policy, facilitate quality improvement projects, and support sustainable community-based cancer survivorship programs.
- Review the clinical implications of cognitive and sleep disorders in oncology.
Speakers Katie Kemble, DNP, ARNP, FNP-C, AOCNP, FAANP Kristi A. Acker, PhD, DNP, FNP-BC, AOCNP, ACHPN, FAANP
